Insert the support column into the drain plate.

Place the water meter into the designated opening, then place the drain plate over the water basin.

Add water or nutrient solution via the maintenance window. Once the float switch reaches its maximum height, it signals that the reservoir is full.

Filling : To add water and water-soluble nutrients to your resevoir, directly pour the solution into the basin through the maintenace window.

Monitoring : The included water meter indicates when the reservoir is empty.Refill the reservoir whenever the meter reaches this level.

Maintenance : For optimal performance, it’s recommended to clean and refill the reservoir every two weeks. This will also help prevent any unwanted build-up within the reservoir.

Remove the maintenance window and dip the pH/EC meter inside

The self-watering pot features drainage holes, allowing excess water to efficiently drain from both the bottom and sides. This design helps prevent waterlogging and ensures a cleaner growing environment by eliminating pooling water.

Drainage: If the water meter shows a full reservoir and you observe excess water draining from the pot, pour out this excess water through the maintenance window.

Maintenance: To prevent mineral build-up and potential pests, it’s recommended to clean the reservoir every two weeks.

For the self-watering system to function effectively, your plant’s root system needs to establish itself throughout the grow bag’s volume. To verify this, you can gently examine the bottom of the pot to see if dried roots are visible, indicating they have grown through the fabric.

It is recommended to replace the wick lines after each growing season.

Placement : Gently place your grow bag on top of the designated drain plate.

Lifting for Adjustments : When making adjustments to the water reservoir or plant, carefully lift the grow bag off the drain plate.

Avoiding Disruption : Avoid twisting or rotating the grow bag while it rests on the base. This movement can pull the wick lines away from the water source, hindering the self-watering function.

Water and Nutrient Delivery : The wick lines efficiently deliver a continuous flow of water and water-soluble fertilizer to the lower third of your grow bag. This creates a consistent moisture zone while allowing for a small air pocket for optimal root health.

Potting Mix Recommendation : To ensure the most effective water and nutrient delivery to your plant roots, we recommend using potting mixes that contain peat moss and/or coco coir. These materials promote efficient absorption and upward movement of water through the wick lines.
